NYC Part 2
NYC Part 2
Our first day in New York, my sister and I got caught in a downpour while walking through Central Park to the Natural History Museum. It was picturesque and all except for the fact that I had planned an outfit for a hot and steamy summer day in New York. As a precautionary method, the next day I wore a jean jacket — oh I paid for that. It was an incredibly sunny and hot day. On this trip I got to see so many things I hadn’t visited on my first trip to New York; the High Line, the Whitney, Ess-A-Bagel, and I really got to explore Central Park (last time I visited was in the middle of winter.)
I mainly used my 50 mm because I wanted a chance to experiment with it in an urban setting. Soon enough I will be in Europe and I want enough practice to be very comfortable with my DSLR.
Taking a break under the Glade Bridge and hoping the rain will stop…
We visited the Natural History Museum and we maybe only saw and eighth of the entire museum… It’s huge!! I can’t wait until I get a chance to go back. I love these types of museums and one of the coolest I got to visit was the Natural Museum in London.
Steel workers in the sunset…
Walking through West Village on our way to the High Line…
Back to the park! This was unfortunately our last day and the best weather of the entire trip. The park was full of people and even performers playing instruments for passing crowds. The park reminded me of el Parque del Retiro and I got into an argument about the effectiveness of urban parks and how Miami needs wayyy more public spaces.
It’s like he was asking to be photographed…
“Don’t quit your day dream…”
‘Til next time NYC…
